Russian Doll Quilt Kit
In honor of Sitka’s Russian heritage, Matrioshka Dolls, Russian nesting dolls, are lined up across this quilted wallhanging. In the background, an orthodox cathedral onion dome topped by a traditional Russian Orthodox cross.
We have selected a lovely ethnic looking fabric for the dolls, a stripe for the mitered border and a blue cloudy sky for the background. The kits are made up in fabrics exactly as you see; all the fabric to create this 19-1/2″x16-1/2″ hanging is included.
This is a fusible web project and is super easy. The pattern includes a tracing for the doll faces. They are applied with a pigma pen and some colored pencil for “blush”.
